Unfortunately, the majority of schools in Haiti do not have computer access, what turns into a handicap for the students. It is also a detriment to their future professional life. Particularly, we observe that in large cities the students have more access to computers than in small towns and rural areas. In this way, many schools in cities like Grand Goave offer no computer access.
The project will address a severe shortage of computer equipment in schools which are far from major cities, this will allow Grand Goave to be sufficiently equipped with computers to provide the students with a learning experience that involves a 21st century tool.
Students who know how to use computers are more likely to find a job and thus be financially independent. In addition, the students may develop skills in computer science in the future, and so they will be able to offer their services to the community.
