Saravanan is the second child in his family, where his father is a daily wage carpenter and is mother is a domestic helper. Saravanan was affected by Polio in his childhood and hence uses crutches for his mobility.
With much difficulty Saravanan completed his 12th grade in school in 2015 and sought admission in the computer course in 2015. Because of his lack of motivation, poor academic achievement and bare minimum ADL(Activities of Daily Living) skills, he was not given admission. When he applied again, we saw improvement in him, he was motivated, and his ADL skills had improved to the level that he can live independently in the hostel. So, he was admitted into the hostel.
Now, over a year into the program, Saravanan is learning computer and life skills that will open up opportunities for him to support himself. These improvements wouldn't be possible without your generosity! Thank you for changing lives.
