Happy Team!
Happy Team!

There are so many things to do when you start a non-profit, when you start developing rugby. So many branches to climb and go in so many different directions. We are slowly getting the equipment in Mozambique that will make ADEDAR and our rugby better. We have some ruck pads, we have balls, we are getting jerseys here and there. It hasn't been easy and we've had to work hard to make these little successes. But these little successes have been wonderful, and due to your help and support of ADEDAR and our growth, we are making these little successes into big achievements.

Future dream includes a club house with a scrum machine, weight room, goal posts, and a community center type building. But we are cool with small steps as we work there. Thank you so much for your continued support of a dream that is coming to reality!

Cheers, Peace, and Love,
Mandy, President of ADEDAR

Okay, yes, the answer is to equip! We now have 4 ruck pads, 1 tackling bag, a new set of jerseys, a few more balls, and some more cones. Little by little, we are getting to be complete. Thank you so much for your continued support to help make our dream a reality!

We still need more, though. With 6 clubs around the neighboorhoods of Maputo, we have a quite a lot of teams in need of more equipment. What we have has tremendously helped and will continue to help.

How can you help?

1. Project is still open to receive more funds to help us buy more equipment.

2. Tell your family, your friends, your community, your tribe where they can put that extra dollar or two.

3. Set up a fundraiser for ADEDAR on your facebook. A bit of extra marketing can go a long way!

In December, we are sending our men's team to Eswatini and in February, our women's team to South Africa. Equipment is much appreciated to help us train and do the best we can do! Thank you so much again for your support in all you have done to help us get there!

new to us
new to us

Mozambique isn't an easy place to find rugby specific equipment. "Ruck pads, what are those?" they say. Don't even get started on tackling bags, finding a set of jerseys, etc.. Mozambique is a baby in rugby, and there is no market for rugby specific equipment in the country...as of yet.

But we are getting there slowly getting the equipment our teams need. Just this last week, a friend and colleague from the USA just came and provided us with 2 ruck pads and a whole new set of red rugby jerseys, along with 13 more rugby balls! Thank you, Emily! You are the greatest!

Boots, shoes, socks, rugby specific shorts, tackling bags are all things we are still missing, but with your help, we have been able to slowly figure that out. We have been able to proide each team a basic First Aid Kit, some balls, and some cones. This is how we grow, this is how we become stronger!

Thank you so much again for helping us out and making this all a possibility!

Here in Mozambique, ADEDAR is growing and our need for equipment grows with it. We have over 200 players playing for ADEDAR, ranging from 8 years old up to 20 something, 30% being girls. For us, that's all huge. With your help, we are slowly now getting equipment for us.

Our team in Mathemele now has a set of jerseys. We are talking to companies about jerseys for Hulene Rugby Club also. There is a local place here in the city we can get ruck pads and tackling bags made.

Having better equipment for our teams will not only show our players that we are serious and we are growing, but it will show their parents and the rest of Mozambique. Thank you so much for donating and helping us get started down this path! The crowdfunder is still open and we are always accepting more to help us out!

Potential Jerseys
Potential Jerseys

Our goal is still $5000, the campaign is still open! But we can already get started at getting equipment with the $1020 you all have so generously donated to ADEDAR! So, what does that mean?

About a year ago, I was talking to a rugby company that sells jerseys and balls and so forth. They couldn't 100% sponsor jerseys for us, but they put it down to only $10 a jersey. Now that the crowdfunder has given us the means to pay for the jerseys, we are now in the process of getting official ADEDAR jerseys for our teams here in Mozambique. Super. Exciting.

As far as ruck pads and tackling bags for our teams, we want to be resourceful and employ through Mozambique as much as possible. There are many places here that make couch cushions and so on, so we are starting to search around how much to copy a ruck pad and still have good durable quality. Once we make that happen, we are golden!

Thank you for supporting ADEDAR! Our goal this year is to equip our teams and show Mozambique what ADEDAR is! Viva, ADEDAR! Viva, rugby! Thanks so much!
