To be able to able to achieve the universal health coverage targets set by WHO by 2030, we aim for a very capable and sufficient community health system.Working with young women affected or infected by TB/HIV. Some of our objectives are to conduct advocacy for policy and legal rights improvement, Provide IGAs for adolescent girls and young women to keep them away engaging in risky sexual behavior, Train peer educators on gender & human rights, nutrition support treatment and social support group
The community basically faces many challenges, that inhibit them from performing their duties efficiently. some community health workers lack enough knowledge of the best practices, some young women engage in sexual risks because they're trying to make ends meet. Having over 40 percent of the country's population living under the poverty line, getting food for the family is quite the task.
This project will greatly help train peer educators and health volunteers on the best practices in prevention,treatment and prevention of TB/HIV. provide phone airtime for health workers to enable them to follow up on patients and families under DOTs. Provide 300 young women with funds for IGAs .
community treatment and adherence outreaches created,treatment and social groups supported,over 200 CHVs trained, support groups created and conducted , 300 independent young women.
