Dear Mann Deshi Friends and Supporters,
Thank you very much for your continuous support to our “Mann Deshi Tarang- Community Radio” project. Laxmi Lokhande’s indigenous songs were aired on community radio. After listening to her folk songs on radio many women in village mhaswad came forward to replay their song and poetries in studio. Mann Deshi Tarang, community radio provides opportunities to rural women to display their skills, folk songs, poetries. This increases their self confidence. “This was the happiest moment in my life. I could sing in studio and thousands of people heard me. Radio gives me freedom.” Said Laxmi Lokhande.
Thus Manndeshi Tarang, promotes women to take leadership in the community. I am thankful to donors to provide this innovative motivation to rural women of India.
