Limpopo has the highest level of poverty of any South African province, with 78.9% of the population living below the national poverty line. This province attracts many tourists for its beautiful nature but local investment for services and education is limited. Most schools do not have the basic resources to provide education. We are Partnered with a local school and creche to improve the educational standards and resources available to the local community.
Most nursery or Edu-care facilities in rural Limpopo Province don't have access to the most basic resources and facilities that children need to assist in their early childhood development. This can have a profound negative impact on their ability to keep pace with formal education provided once they enter Primary School. We hope to have a lifelong impact in each child's life.
Partnered with a local school and creche we will work with them to make improvements on the initial need for improving the infrastructure and resources. This has already had an immediate and critical impact locally on the lives of the children that attend this school or creche. There is still more work to be done to empower the local teaching staff and provide them with the resources to be able to teach and inspire our next generation.
This project will empower the staff of these educational institutes to gain & sustain access to government support and funding. This allows families to send kids to school without worrying about covering fees. In the process, it will also provide language skills for the children that will give them an advantage for better further education. Funds raised will provide children & staff with a safe, hygienic, positive environment, where they can grow, develop, learn and have fun.
