Preparing for Civics In Action

PARTI is thankful for Adults who are standing up with youth, as Champions, for civic and community actions! Here is what we built on:

PROJECT OVERVIEW

• PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

1. Leadership, Mentorship and Civic Action project is a year-round program designed to engage youth, ages
12-18, in historically under-served youth in Santa Clara County. Programming takes place in person
and/or virtually. Activities:1. Leadership and Civic Action Development 2. Service Learning/Community
Involvement.3. Planning and engaging in Social Action Events.

• KEY PROGRAM COMPONENTS:
o CIVICS ACTION YOUTH COUNCIL: 2 YOUTH FROM EVERY CITY IN SCC, TOTAL OF 40 YOUTH AGES 14-18

o ORGANIZE, PLAN AND PROMOTE YOUTH CAREER DAYS, D&I ACTIVITIES, AND EVENTS HOSTED BY YOUTH LEADERS

o DEVELOP A YOUTH PLATFORM FOR EQUITY IN SANTA CLARA COUNTY THROUGH SERVICE

o Patricia County of Santa Clara Office of Cultural Competency

Actions which we delivered on in March and April:

Participated in virtual networking events with 4 Chambers of Commerce in California.

Secured a partnership with the Hayward - Livermore College School District to engage East Bay community members on Police Reform.

Secure High School seniors from Morgan Hill, Campbell, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mt. View, San Jose and Cupertino to be Champions for the Safe Summer Kickoff Event.

Hosted a Stop The Violence Los Angeles Event ( Thank you Committee members!).

Began engaging activities with Morgan Hill youth through a partnership with the Girls and Boys Club.

Launched a Ice Cream PARTI with the Morgan Hill and Gilroy Baskin and Robbins!

Hosted a Parti in the Park at Evergreen Village Square ( District 8, SJ), The Plant (District 7, SJ), and Cataldi Park (District 4, SJ).

Upcoming activities:

Career Connection Event on April 21st: to Businesses in 7 industries: Confirmations Hubbell, Google, Applied Material, First Tech Credit Union, ServiceNow, Appreciation Financial.

Safe Summer Kickoff May 29-30 Morgan Hill - Gilroy, San Jose, Santa Clara County
