Beloved Development partners and all our best wishers, the global trends today dictate that education systems must shift from the masterly of facts, to learning to be; learning to do; learning to live and learning to know.

With your dedication to support the establishment of the youth space, a total over  2000 community members are either attending a community education program at the center, fetching water, attending a party, brining a child to study, reading in a library, learning how to use a computer or coming around for physical fitness or music and play! All such services to our community come in a handful for a better life something we are so grateful for.

One of the Early learning teachers when you gave funds and paved the ground had this to say" with pavers on the ground, there will be no more mud in class, the conference hall, toilets and the libray making cleaning on a daily basis reduced"

We bring you what the innovation hub brings to the community,

  • It’s a community meetings space and home for all.
  • Women entrepreneurship and saving scheme project host all there engagements at the center
  • Conference hall activities for training and celebration of national public days
  • A roof top for community parties and celebrations
  • Early Learning Center through partitions in the conference hall accommodating 70 learners
  • A community public library for all
  • An ICT innovation hub
  • And our community water collection point.

With your continued support to complete the youth center you help a rural Ndazabazzade Slum community attain the global strategy faster than we would dream of it! The center still needs your support to paint the facility, buy more chairs, buy children outdoor play items, a tent on the roof top to refrain too much heat and rain from interrupting our activities as well as buying more book shelves and baskets. We have got books but we have limited bookshelves. Together we can bring Rural Ndazabzzade to the world map from a tinny grassing village.

As 2017 comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting the Center for Youth Driven Development Initiatives (CFYDDI) work. It’s because of individual and collective supporters like you that countless grassroots community individuals around the world are living better life stories. With your support and commitment, people are leading their own change

Friends its here at the Center for Youth Driven Development Initiatives (CFYDDI) children in rural Ndazabazadde always expect to have fun! And indeed the center ended the year with children’s production show! the center offers endless possibilities for children, youth and parents who are always looking out for avenues to take children for fun. The end of year production took parents and the community by surprise when children between 3-7 years were able to try out and express themselves in English!!! Our programs at the center deliberately promotes self expression and discipline. Such productions will be part of our end of activities such that we help children develop a feeling of self- worth- positive self-image and competence. Such program expands our rural community children’s language skills one parent commented natures and stimulates their natural curiosity.

Your investment in our children inspires growth and development in our community and we appreciate you so much.

From everyone here at the Center for Youth Driven Development Initiatives (CFYDDI) - we have the pleasure to have taken this path with us as we together meet the final challenges of this world.

Hello CFYDDI Development partners, welcome to the new month! July, August and September everyone continues here to talk about the many exciting events that have happened and it has been a holiday time so we have had many holiday makers taking part ranging from the international youth Day, the Annual youth Festival, and the sanyuka programs to CFYDDI Foot ball club Kopites FC winning tournament matches. We are nurturing talent through the center activity to preparing a new wave of leaders. The women with a purpose there saving scheme and parenting programs continue to revamp the livelihoods of house hold women. Friends whoever enters the gates of the youth center leaves with fresh inspiration and a further investment in any of these programs will go a long way to better rural community vulnerable children, youth and house wives.

We have found it very challenging that illiterate people find it increasingly difficult to participate fully in the services and opportunities availed to them which slows down every opportunity and we are here to support and improve their ability from early stages for children to creatively play, youth and women to know how to read and write as an important personal asset.

You have helped us start this entire community important work, we are writing to appreciate you and seek your audience for further funding to help us complete this important work of closing the literacy skills gaps as the only alternative in achieving human capital development.

More funding support will allow us buy;

  • Play items for children to swing, run around and equip children’s play Conner,
  • Pay a stipend allowance for care takers, pay an allowance for the teachers and volunteers,
  • Put a meal on the table for the children,
  • Enroll more vulnerable children attend the early child development program,
  • Pay for learning materials and visual aid,
  • Paint the chairs and study rooms for children with attractive colors’,
  • Paving the ground to cover the mud when it rains.
  • Boost the womens saving scheme to start self help busnesses.

CFYDDI –Women With A Purpose (WWAP) sucesses story!

WWAP saving scheme is a saving scheme that t allows women to collectively save their money; CFYDDI helps ensure its safety and provides technical support such as book keeping and records.

The saving started in January 2017 and members save every Tuesday but Betty had almost nothing to save on several occasions she turned up empty handed but was very determined and hopeful. Betty however shared challenges and later found out there was an opportunity to start her own business, but expressed her fears such as lack of business skills, Lack of capital, loan phobia among others

CFYDDI every year runs a Build your Business training to help empower women with business skills such as   business creation skills, marketing skills, risk management, financial management among others, this 3 month course has 14 modules and is localized to cater for community needs, teaching is done in a local language .Betty took up this training and felt confident enough to acquire a loan from WWAP and start up a business, capital or business ceased to be an excuse. With continuous mentorship and support from CFYDDI team, she started up 2 chapatti stalls (local snack) and employs 2 people. These 2 stalls earn her 20,000 per day. Her husband (who can’t work) helps her monitor one stall as she monitors the other, she further uses her extra time to bake cookies and supply them in the local shops.

Thanks for becoming champions for equality. This festive season our target is to raise the remaining $4046. We are committed to working tirelessly to help children, youth and women change their own lives, their communities for better.
