When we reflect on 2019, we will remember a land mark year for the Youth centre market by strategic expansion, dramatic centre growth- a Year we have host the largest number of community events and youth camps! a year we have demonstrated that our youth led approach works never losing sight of our long term direction. The centre has been a focal area for organising holiday education camps, talent development shows and hosting a cocktail of community celebrations for end of year. as a result the centre has mobilised community youth on the innovation hub and have composed and recorded 5 song for the centre program areas, a total of over 60 community women coming together to save and for economic empowerment, a total of over 80 community children joining our early learning program, a total of over 30 children everyday coming to read at the community library and play both indoor and outdoor games, fetch water, the community attending health awareness dental programs and participating in sports. While the page of this report reflects on past successes until 2019, our attention now turns to an exciting, New Year in which the centre will expand its impact through other rural communities and plan for exciting growth to come. Never forgetting this ultimate accountability, we celebrate the past years, thanking our valued partners, talented CFYDDI young staff and tireless volunteers for their commitment and support, and as we start 2020 prepared for strategic growth, increased impact, resolutely committed to our mission.

The two new multi purpose study and play room
The two new multi purpose study and play room

Two more new additional study rooms constructed free up community library that previously acted as study room changing community learners lives. Your ideas, inspiration enrich our community work while celebrating the important successes and milestones which you have helped us reach.

The new learning rooms are a huge and very important milestone in our service to rural communities. They are multipurpose rooms!!! They act as learning centers through the term until afternoon and they act as indoor play rooms for Evenings, weekends and holiday time. Just this last 2 weeks holiday a total of above 500 users accessed the community library, the children corners and the community play areas.

Through your hard work and continued support community activities are gaining space we need to read, play as users explore a new world of possibilities and look up to the future.

This partnership is one of the dynamic partnerships that have helped transform rural communities. Thank you for your individual and collective efforts while supporting our cause through Global Giving.

The Minister of State for Primary Education and Woman Member of Parliament from the Government of the Republic of Uganda Hon. Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde officially open CFYDDI Community library.

Community Libraries are endeavoring to demystify the book in our rural communities by making reading materials available and Medical books and health programs are undertaken at community levels with much ease.

They are contributing to the fight against illiteracy, ignorance, poverty, and disease by making relevant reading materials accessible to community members.

And we believe here at CFYDDI that The End to Poverty begins when today’s children have access to quality Education.

Thank you so much for your support and your decisions to invest in rural children and youth for a better future.

Your continued support will help us establish a classrooms atleast one every year for the future of rural volunerable children and youth.

We are expanding community need programs. You give opportunity to those less privileged and make us arrived to a dream. It’s an investment in a variety of social and livelihood sustainable development projects that have really impacted society and they have become a blessing to communities.

With your support we have regained the previous lost glory for the community library. For the past two years the community library has been a classroom study area for two classes that was portioned using the bookshelves and it has been a challenging moment.

Your support has helped us establish two learners room to shift the classes that previously occupied the community library. It feels safe again for children and the community library services that had been suspended for only evening and weekends are back to normal. Thank you for your support.

But friends each year we will require a new block and your support can make this possible! This will mean children promoted to the next class will study well with minimal disturbances. Help us make it possible. We are currently serving 76 children on the early learning program and serving various community programs at the centre to include trainings, meetings, play projects, skilling programs and providing water to community.

Additionally, we have been able to reach further rural deprived communities of Buvuma Island and Namulesa community in Jinja district through establishment of community libraries along with Skills Building programs . We’re also excited to be making an impact in a number of schools serving students to build essential skills.

We’re deeply grateful for the support of our ever-growing network of persons supporting us through GlobalGiving.

Bring others with you!
Never forget that all successes you see here is because of your team effort. CFYDDI would be nothing without your support. No one can achieve any meaningful social impact at scale without the support, collaboration and hard work of a lot of partners.

Together, we can see our work making a real impact.
We need your support to keep delivering quality community service and offer educational opportunities for deprived personalities. Every contribution, big or small, is so valuable. Support the Centre for Youth Driven Development Initiatives from as little as $10.
Thank you.

Your support has been our driver of change at community level. Thank you so much!

We are inspired by your continued commitment towards the establishment of the youth center for the wellbeing of children, youth, girls, and women. Your support is changing society – from having access to information, reproductive health to entrepreneurship skilling and saving for community women, as well as education and being leisure centre.

We are incredibly proud to call you our inspiration and change maker!! It has been 7 years of unstoppable progress driving community change since 2013!

At this critical moment for centre progress, the number of community users has increased and in the different areas of service. Our current top center priority is to build additional activity and study rooms at the centre.

We are banking on your continued support in running high impact programs for rural community flocks to serve a community of more than 5000 people leaving in the village.

Sincerely,
