Combating child malnutrition through education, early detection and treatment with edible mushroom high nutrient CHAMPIMIX made in Togo for 300 children under 5 years. in collaboration with Tsévié hospital
According to the United Nation Fund for Childhood study approved in May 2007 by the Togolese government, the acute rate of malnutrition is getting use into 32%, 24% and 17%, respectively in Region des Savanes, Region de la Kara and Region Maritime. This rate is worrying because it goes above the critical level fixed by the World Health Organization (≥ 10%). The immune system defense of these children who are undergoing this acute malnutrition is weakened and they are at risk of diseases.
The project will provide to 300 children less than 5 years suffering from acute-severe malnutrition nutritional food rich and balanced in protein, vitamin and mineral salts made of mushroom, and treatment of anemia, intestinal parasites
With early detection, effective care due to the great nutritional value of mushrooms, and its immunity stimulating virtues, this project will give opportunities to 300 children malnourished to grow up in good health
