Nepal is a least developed country (LDC) where per capita income is USD 689,50. The parents are unable to afford cost of education for their children and compelled to send their children as child labor. So the eradicate child labor system is envisioned through providing them education opportunity through bridge course, parent's education and vocational education which will create the opportunity for livelihood enhancement. This intervention will be good to make long term impact of project.
The child labor practice is vicious cycle which contribute to poverty trap and chronic problem in Nepalese society. Parents are not fully aware about the importance of childhood. Similarly owner are feel proud themselves having a child labor. There is a policy provision but which is not effectively implemented by government and number of child labor are 7.77 million, which is about 33 per cent of the total population in the country. So the project will directly benefit to children and parents.
The project will directly address through providing education opportunity for children to break the chain of child labor from grass-root level. The children will get counselling, bridging course, stationery, school uniform and school enrollment fee. The parents will receive awareness and enhance knowledge and skill through parenting education and vocation skill training, tools and material for small business enterprise.
The target community will have dignified and health life with long term access to government resources. There will be child labor free village with access to quality education, health and child friendly environment. The community will have peace and prosperity.
