Nascent Solutions in pleased to report that one of its beneficiaries is making significant progress. Colette had a pass grade in three subjects at the 2014 ordinary level General Certificate of Education (GCE) Economic B, History C and Geography B. While this success does not meet the requirement for admission into high school, it is a wonderful achievement, given that she attended evening classes for only nine months. With your support, she has continued her studies at the evening school, in preparation to rewrite in the June 2015 session with the aim of achieving a pass grade in at least four subjects to be able to gain admission into high school. The total cost of her schooling and personal needs per year amount to about $500.
Besides her near success in the GCE examination, attending classes, interacting with other students and writing the examination have had significant impact on personality. Collette is a changed young woman, very determined and optimistic. She reports that she has regained her self-esteem and believes that she can succeed in anything she puts her mind to.
