Nascent Solutions Cameroon has continues to combat child Human trafficking in cameroon by educating the community especially the rural poor villages of Ngoh-ketunja on their human rights, the rights of the girls child and the negative consequences of trafficking.
Despite the dwindling resources, Nascent has continued to provide assistance to the two victims of TIP that the organization identified in the first quarter of 2013. Richard and Collette are doing well in their training programs.
The project team has continued sensitization activities in the 13 target villages of Ngoketunjia Division and the response is enormous. They organized two radio programs and four focus group discussions for 72 participants.
Participants are engaged and have expressed the desire to work with Nascent to explore posibilities of working with Nascent to establish a placement service in the region that will facilitate the recruitment of follow up of young girls and boys who are willing to take up jobs in the areas of house help. Nascent is also consulting with the Regional Delegation of Social Affaris for partnership that would strengthen the initiative.
