Futbol con Corazon (FCC) is expanding its program and impact, and your help is a critical part of our success! FCC has made the commitment to more than DOUBLE its impact in Barranquilla by expanding to three new neighborhoods, opening two new soccer stadiums, and enrolling more than 2,000 children in the program (with a ratio of 1:1, boys to girls). The neighborhoods of its interventions are carefully chosen, based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, economic status, availability of soccer fields, community support, and social challenges. This February, it opened a new stadium in the La Playa neighborhood, and by the end of the year will also have programs in the neighborhoods of El Bosque, La Chinita, and California. By expanding to these strategic neighborhoods, Futbol Con Corazon will bring its Soccer for Peace methodology and gender equality programming to socially and economically vulnerable children in Barranquilla.
