Dear RATA supporter,
Since on 6th April 2023 up to 20th August 2023, Rwanda Assistive Technology Access(RATA) was training 5 visually impaired(3 Male and 2 female) people on how to code under a pilot project called: "Coding for the visually impaired" .The aim was to have in the future persons with disabilities in Rwanda who are able to be part of the design of local softwares that meet their needs and who can choose tech as their career.
Lessons on HTML 5, CSS, Java script, Flutter and Dart were covered and the participants were able to make simple websites and a simple mobile app at the end of the training.

RATA plans to extend this project in February 2024.
