Fundación Natura has made progress in the implementation of all proposed activities, since the project was created in Global Giving site in 2012. During 2014 a participatory process was developed directed to build a Conservation Plan Area (PAC) in Gallito micro-watershed, one of the tributaries of Santa María Basin. This process was accompanied by an environmental education project, with the recognition of environmental goods and services in the area and local communities and key stakeholders participation. In August, these two projects were completed providing the guidelines to implement conservation strategies established in the PCA.
Last October a new project entitled "Implementation of measures for the conservation and protection of environmental goods and services in Gallito micro-watershed", which comprises 5,340 acres was granted. This project will be developed and implemented comprehensive management plans 10 farms in the upper and middle sections of the watershed and will design, distribute and implement technical guidance for monitoring those plans executed.
