More clean water and moving forward...

This winter brought more hope for the people of Old Fangak, South Sudan. While working alongside our Old Fangak apprentices and laborers, dedicated ASMP volunteers were able to bring TWO desperately needed water wells to the village. With clean water, mothers will not have to rely on dirty river water for their families. With less water-born diseases and diarrhea, kids will have hope for a healthy childhood.

But the greater promise is this: the local villagers are getting trained in the vital skills needed to begin drilling their OWN water wells… the true sustainable solution to the water needs of this impoverished regions.

Thanks to your donations, we have reached our funding goal for the project. However, we are not stopping here. We are in the middle of planning to go back this fall to drill more water wells in surrounding villages, and continue our important training program. With the proper funding, our goal is to begin drilling in November and complete at least three new water wells to serve more than a thousand people.

We will leave this project “open” so that our GlobalGiving donors have the option of continuing to help bring life-saving clean water to South Sudan. Thank you for your continued support!
