The total number of populations in Madagascar is 26,262,368. Approximately 20 million Malagasy people live in darkness with fear due to lack of regular access to reliable electricity. Most households use kerosene lamps which obviously are the source of indoor pollution and fire. This project will reach the last mile, providing solar lamps support service and technology to 1000 people from remote regions. Help us raise $7,440 to sustain our efforts and improve lighting for more Malagasy people
Access to electricity remains low with about 20% of the total population. Only 5% have access to electricity in rural areas. For most Malagasy households, especially in rural areas kerosene and candles for lighting are the most important energy sources
We are joining efforts with the regional tourism board of Ihorombe to ensure basic human rights are met for our beneficiaries. With our partners 285 people has benefited from the project. Solar lamps can positively affect a family's situation by using a high side lights as desk lamps or during nocturnal camping within the national parc. When you give the gift of clean energy you give precious time for family to spend time together.
Thanks to the continued support and commitment of donors and partners, we will continue to unlock people's potential to rise out of poverty and leverage services and technology for tourism workforce. One of our promises is to encourage mass adoption of sustainable energy. The project will reach the last mile and equip 1000 people with solar lamps.
