Started in 2015, the Frederiksted Children's Book and Film Festival is an outdoor fun family event that pairs an award-winning children's book with its corresponding movie. Held during the summer, starting the last Friday and July and continuing every Friday for four weeks, attending families receive a free copy of the featured book, dinner and enjoy kid-friendly activities.
As with many communities experiencing urban decline, Frederiksted does not have many offerings of kid and family friendly activities.

The goal of this event is to create vibrant family experiences within the Frederiksted Historic District. Helping to foster a positive bond between individuals and the spaces in which they live.
