Haddis Agape Foundation plans to do surgical missions and build microsurgical unit for the people of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This project builds a capacity to perform complex surgeries for people suffering body deformity of any cause.
As the number of population in Ethiopia rising, so does the number of patients with complex deformities. Complex deformities occur due to high rising road traffic accident, birth defects and post cancer surgeries. Some of the patients are left at home and some are stigmatized. Haddis Agape Foundation will be part of the solution for the people of Ethiopia.
Doing complex surgeries by surgical missions by European surgeons going to Ethiopia. The surgeons also transfer skill to the local surgeons and in the long run the local health workers will take over to give lasting solution to the problem.
The project will do seven surgical missions per year. This will treat 80 patients with complex deformities and will transfer skill to the local surgeons.
