This project will provide school kits and books for children of 18 public institutes in the municipalities of Tumaco and Francisco Pizarro; at the same time well provide material and adequates books for the strengthening of schools libraries of this institutes, so that they become spaces for learning and building a culture of peace. The objective of our project is to provide the necessary materials to the children of this institutes for they dont left school, due to the lack of school supplies
Institutional weakness, corruption, child labor, violence and the presence of armed groups in the area, which link children and adolescents from an early age, have resulted that Tumaco being one of the municipalities with the lowest educational level, and greater school dropout in the country. Children in the region dont have the infrastructure and materials necessary for school attendance, which is why it confers the responsibility of thirds help them acquire schools materials
Give 900 school kits to the children of 18 public institutes in Tumaco. Provision of materials, new books and adequate literature to 18 school libraries. Train 54 teachers in bibliographical recognition, literacy, and values for peace. Activities such as libraries tours to the nearest city, storytelling contests, creative reading, cinema forums, reading clubs and writing workshops. Train 4 librarians to schools libraries became in places of peace and learning
The project will benefit the educational community of 18 puclic schools in Tumaco. 900 children will receive scholar kits with neccesary materials to attend class, also they will have better libraries and materials to improve their literacy skills. 54 teachers will be train in reading and literacy management and librarys; around 1600 parents of family will be indirectly benefit, since they will not have to bear the cost of school supplies (money that they dont have).
