Integrate parents and children It has been the best strategy for the comprehensive development of children in their first years of life and the best way to do this is through the experience of family values and developing creativity.

Among the main activities are: the celebration of Columbus Day which helps children and their families to recognize their identity and customs, and to reaffirm the value of love and respect, from designing costumes and presentation of theatrical scenes and integration between indigenous, black and mestizo was explained.

Recycling fairs are also held, where parents and children leave your imagination fly designing dresses in recycled material to encourage children to care for the environment, learning to use those things give are many ways to be used. And create awareness among parents to make their homes places that provide comfort to their children.

Through these activities, we help families improve their skills so that they and their children to live a healthy and happy life and this is possible with their contributions and support. Thank you, we remain confident in you to make that happiness reaches everywhere.

In addition to these ongoing activities with children, other activities are conducted with the parents of families, supporting the development of their children, like: Workshops for the prevention of abuse and mistreatment, to sensitize parents care for their children, with the support of organizations working for the protection of children. Also we worked on the day of motivation for breastfeeding, for nursing mothers understand the importance of breast milk in the nutrition of their children.

To continue this work providing protective environments for babies Home, we invite you to continue with your donations, that they are meaningful to the children and their families.

 Thank you!

In Colombia, we commemorate Independence Day on July 20th, that's why we did different activities with our children: wearing traditional clothes from the regions of the country, cooking native dishes, playing soccer (representing our very talented soccer players), telling the Independence history with their own voices and accents, among others. During this event we also sang the national anthem and raised the Colombian flag, as a symbol of our patriotism so children can learn how to be better citizens of this country.

August was the lactation month, and we didn't miss the opportunity to teach our mothers (especially the ones in their teen years) about the importance of this stage during the first two years of the child. We had some activities such as plays, handicrafts made by the moms, bowling games where the ball was a breast and the pins were bottles, among others. They had lots of fun and are more aware now about the importance of breastfeeding their children!

In September we celebrated the Health World Week with activities for learning about a proper nutrition, having a good digestion, drinking lots of water, exercising daily, etc. We had different stands with fruits in form of a palm with monkeys, that the children just loved and wanted to eat more of this healthy food!

We want to thank you for all your support on this; it wouldn't have been possible without your help, so the only thing we want to ask from you now is that you spread the word with your family and friends.

Happy tooth, healthy tooth!
Happy tooth, healthy tooth!

We are commited with keeping our children healthly and happy. That's the reason why we don't stop working on providing them with the support in the basic services they need to grow as they should.

Doesn't matter how far they live from the cities and towns, we are going to them thanks to your help. During these three months, we went to the rural areas of Fundación, Magadalena, a little village in the North of Colombia, to lead a health brigade aimed to promote the value of having healthy lifestyles.

The parents were a active part of this activity. They received information about vaccination and its importance for the right development of their children and their community. And it wasn't all. Our partner to made the brigade happen, was Saludcoop, an entity provider of health services in Colombia.

We all, as a team, gave attention in dentistry, optometry, nutrition and more as we made they kids feel safe and happy with different playful activities.

And, of course, you were part of the team too! Without your support, It wouldn't have been possible. THANK YOU!

P.S. Feel free to share our project with they people you know and don't hasitate to follow as on Facebook and visit our website.

For us, our commitment is not just with the kids, it´s with the parents too. Home is the first place children learn and parents are their first teachers. That’s why, in Juntos Construyendo Futuro, we work for the grown of the entire family as a strong unit of development.

During these months, and thanks to your generosity, we visited 505 beneficiary homes and hosted workshops aim to moms, dads and other family members directly involved with children care in the localities of Fundación and Pivijay, Magdalena. The workshops were about responsible parenting actions and how to preceed in case of rights violations.  All parents were invited and 49,6% actually attended, that’s a good number!

Thanks to your support, they are learning better practices to accompany their kids while the little ones receive our attention in early education, health and nutrition. As you can see, they are happy to participate and excited to be part of this project. Now, children in tough economic, social and affective conditions could have better opportunities starting at home.

None of this could have been done without your help. THANKS AGAIN and we hope to keep counting on you to give vulnerable children in rural Colombia a chance to have a better life. Please share the project with your contacts network and don´t forget to back us up during the upcoming Bonus Day this May 13th.

Aren't our national parks beautiful?

What did you like to do most as a kid? We bet playing outside was one of your favorite things.

Now, think about the children you are supporting with your donations doing the same: having fun, being fascinated with what they see in the nature and feeling excited of learning new things. Well, your generosity and the amazing job of the members of our organization made this possible for more than 300 children in the Magdalena region. Through different activities, they learned about the environment, animals around them and the importance of preserving nature.

In Pivijay, the kids celebrated the ‘National Parks Day’, a festivity made up by the teachers and educators with the idea of show to boys and girls the relevance of taking care of the wildlife spaces the world has, all this using pictures and boards.

Thanks to your help, the children learned about the nocturnal animals and the night itself, the sundown, moonrise and stars while they went camping. Using tables, blankets and plastic bags, they recreated a tent in the darkness and played at being outside with night creatures around them. They were so excited that all of them wanted to get into the tent at the same time!

Speaking of animals, let’s talk about the ‘Animal's Circus’, a recreational activity the children and families part of the project got the chance to enjoy in El Plato, Magdalena. They witnessed magical plays that show them animals of all shapes and sizes, wild and domestic, and the importance of preserving them, in a very imaginative way.

Education, in different subjects, is an indispensable pillar for the proper development of children. It is a priority for us. That is why we carry out this kind of exercises with them. YOU make this job possible with your support and we are absolutely thankful for that.

So, next time you go outside, look at the sky and think on the smiles you are building in this corner of the world or, if you prefer, just take a look at the pictures below.
