A group of University of Wisconsin-Madison students and High School students from ACE Institute of Management in Kathmandu renovated a school building in Shikharpa. Early last month, six Americans and 13 Nepalese students travelled to the village and stayed with the host families. For five days, they worked along with the villagers to renovate the old school building.
We call it - "shramadana" - the gift of labor.
