This project offers mobile social work and outreach support for children and families at risk. Through fieldwork families will receive social, medical, administrative, legal, educational services to the community in place or will be directed to other service organizations and institutions according to their needs and problems. Parents will learn how to find their own best decisions for their children. PRINCIPLES: DIALOGUE, RESPONSIBILITY, RECOGNITION, INVOLVEMENT, TRANSPARENCY, COOPERATION.
The practice has shown that vulnerable groups usually live in encapsulated communities and the only efficient approach seems to be outreach social work whereby accessible social services are provided on the spot, at the place where the group's natural environment is.
The lack of social skills is the reason why people from vulnerable groups are not aware which institution they should approach in order to have a problem solved. Many children from such communities are placed in institutions.
The implementation of the project will contribute directly to reducing the social exclusion of children through investment in early child development.
The following will be implemented under the project:
Proffessional support in the community for children and families at risk, through mobile outreach work;
Needs assessment and planning of measures to deal with risk factors for the children and their families;
Consultations in the field, as well as awareness raising and guidance.
Families/about 80/ of children at risk know their problem areas and strengths, and plan measures alone deal with any difficulties and problems.
Children/about 160/ receive care that meets their basic needs for mental and physical development.
Families used the services of the project are positive models of care for other families in the community.
Men of the families are actively involved in activities related to education, health and welfare of their children.
