Child Sponsorship Program

by Challenging Heights
$10 Raised
total goal
monthly donors
Please support Challenging Heights' work by sponsoring a child. Sponsoring a child's education costs $300 per year. Knowing a child has a full year of sponsorship is a comfort to the child and allows us to be more efficient in managing the sponsorship. However, if it is easier for you, a recurring donation of $25 per month will also allow you to receive all the satisfaction and benefits of an annual sponsorship!

Challenging Heights has identified and helped many children who have been rescued from child labour, worst forms of child labour or are at risk of child labour. Challenging Heights has also identified families and communities where children are at risk and vulnerable due to poverty and other factors.

From these groups, Challenging Heights identifies which children will be eligible for sponsorship. The individual children are chosen in discussion with the child, the family, the community and the field project officers of Challenging Heights. Sponsorship ensures that a child is able to benefit from a full year of schooling at Challenging Heights School. Families who can't afford to send/keep their children in school are able to give their children an education thanks to our sponsors!

Long-Term Impact

One of our goals is to see each of our students receive the educational foundation that will enable them to successfully attend university. Consistent school attendance is a vital part of this foundation and can be achieved when a) children have the financial resources to cover their scholastic needs and b) when the financial burden is removed from their families (freeing up family funds for basic necessities like food and medical care). There are currently over 800 students at our school.
