This project aims to empower colombian young people to become change makers and contributes to build a peace community.
Poverty, inequality and violence caused by Colombias armed conflict continue to be detrimental to the country and especially to its youth.Children and young people in Colombia are victims of forced displacement, armed recruitment, forced disappearance, rape as a weapon of war and land mines, amongst others.
Our program develops social entrepreneurship skills in young people. During the process young people will identify problems in their community, develop an entrepreneurial and innovative solution to that problem and then carry out their idea through a community activity. We believe that investing in youth social entrepreneurship gives young people skills that can transform them into change makers and peace builders.
The project will have a large social impact through the creation of a network of 2000 young people between the ages of 14 to 28, who are, as a result of the project, able to co-create, participate in a horizontal learning process and build a community of peace together.
