Solution

AGIR ENSEMBLE decides to set up this program for screening and pre-cancer treatment by cryotherapy or excision for women with precancerous lesions detected during program and these groups will help spreading message that cervical cancer can be prevented to allow changing the behaviour of our population,to bring them consulting doctors early and subscribe to program of screening. This program will be the first in whole country and in whole great lake region.Service available.HPV vaccine available.

Long-Term Impact

Changing behaviour, early consultation for early detection of cervical precancer and availability of service and finally no woman will die due to cervical cancer in the city of Goma. 1000 women screened and all positive cases treated, 360 women will get information by raising awareness campaign and will commit to sensitize their friends for adherence and success of the program. All women will have access to the service in the country. HPV vaccine will be available for young girls 8-13 years old.
