The Foxie G Foundation is a 501c3 organization that currently caretakes 12 free roaming cat colonies and provides sanctuary care (longterm/lifetime care) to approximately 121 cats. The need for low cost spay/neuter programs has increased substantially with the economy and rise in outdoor and stray cat populations. The monies raised in this campaign will go to providing funding for no cost spay/neuter in our area as well as refurbishing our current outdoor cat feeding and housing stations.
This project addresses the need to provide continued care for the 12 free roaming colonies we currently care for and the 121 cats in our sanctuary/permanent resident program. We are currently limited by our two aging sanctuary cat facilities and our need to replace our free roaming cat feeding stations and shelters.
With the donations from this project, we will be able to continue to provide food, shelter and spay/neuter for the 12 free roaming cat colonies currently in our care. Other monies raised will be used to buy the materials for and build new feeding stations/outdoor shelters as our current ones are in dire need of replacement. We will also be able to provide no cost spay/neuter funds for the many calls we get from the local community asking for help with the stray/pet cats in their care.
Since its inception The Foxie G Foundation has funded over 1,000 no cost spay/neuters for local community cats. We hope by continuing our work in the community we can help stabilize the community cat population by continuing to provide no cost spay/neuter funds that will help prevent cat overpopulation, overall decrease the cycle of animal suffering and unwanted kittens being born and also continue to provide care for our 12 free roaming cat colonies and the cats in our sanctuary program.
