Challenge

Dar El-Sondos, a well-respected orphanage in Egypt, cares for 193 moderate to severe special needs children in 4 homes throughout Cairo. There is continuous need for funds to support the orphanage's operations.

Solution

Egypt Relief and Aid, together with their partner GiveLight Foundation, are raising funds to support the Dar El-Sondos Orphanage. Donations specifically go to the following areas of need: One-on-one care givers for each child Special education Food and specialized nutrition Medical care Rehabilitation and speech therapy Salaries for facility administrators and staff Utility expenses for the homes

Long-Term Impact

So far, Egypt Relief and Aid has helped cover costs for the needs of 50 orphans at Dar El-Sondos. The goal is to increase that number to 200 over the coming years and 10,000 in the long-term. Supporting orphans at Dar El-Sondos means investing in children who would otherwise be left without care or education, putting them at risk of homelessness, human trafficking and other dangers.
