This project will provide full home based care kits to 20 caregivers who struggle to deliver care and support services to HIV/AIDS chronically ill patients due to non availability of kits, besides provide nutrition support to 100 HIV/AIDS bedridden patients in Lubuto
HIV/AIDS has been viewed as one of the most severe disease and its negative impact has been seen in Lubuto Township which is part of our major catchment area. Since it is very expensive for an HIV/AIDS patient to be admitted in hospital or hospice due to prolonged illness,stigma, discrimination and lack of sufficient food Iseni Tubombele Pamo came up with a Home Based Care program that will provide health care and nutritious food support . This will make the patients take their ARVs on time.
Iseni Tubombele Pamo Organisation will provide effective Home Based Care healthy services and nutritious food support to the 100 HIV/AIDS patients. The caregivers will be trained in new skills on how to manage an HIV/AIDS patient.The family members will also be taught in how to prepare food for the patient. The care givers will also be provided with standard Home Based Care Kits, Where different pain killers and anti septic solution are found. Patients will be visited nearly three times a week
*The project will educate and empower 20 caregivers with Home Based Care skills to enable them provide efficiency and quality services to 100 HIV/AIDS chronically ill patients who will have their health restored.
* Health statuses of the 100 HIV/AIDS chronically ill patients will improve making them able to work on their own and be able to feed their families.
*Prolonged life for the 100 HIV/AIDS.
*Reduced street kids due to parents survival from early death due to measures taken.
