Vehicle to Transport Disabled Kids in Haiti

Thank you for your generosity to help Mercy & Sharing purchase a vehicle to help orphans in Haiti.  Because of you, children are getting the food and medical supplies they need to survive and thrive!  Additionally, children who need surgery or other medical attention are transported in the vehicle you helped us purchase.  The 125 orphans at Mercy & Sharing Village send their hugs and smiles to you!

Now we would like to invite you to join us in improving a school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti for more than 600 students in grades K-9.  Please take a minute to read about this NEW project here:

Thanks again for your generosity and compassion!

Because of your generosity, we are now better able to accomplish our mission of serving the most vulnerable children in Haiti.  The vehicle you helped us purchase and maintain is a vital part of our daily work.

 Today, Mercy & Sharing:

  • Feeds over 2000 people per day
  • Educates over 1000 children per day
  • Cares full time for over 120 orphans; half of whom are disabled
  • Employees over 220 Haitians
  • Provides clean water for over 1000 people per day

We are solely supported by the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations and we receive no government funding.  Our Directors contribute more than 100% of U.S. administrative expenses, so your donations go directly to helping kids in Haiti.

The heart of our organization is Mercy & Sharing Village.  It has been my dream for 18 years to have a safe haven for vulnerable children!  On 17 walled acres 30 miles from Port-au-Prince, we operate three orphanage buildings, a primary school, a vocational training program, and host a Christian worshiping community.  On this campus, 121 orphans live full time, 200 students from the local community attend school, 50 adults receive vocational training and 150 families come to get clean drinking water.  Half of the orphans at Mercy & Sharing Village are disabled.  This is why we have recently completed a Rehabilitation and Therapy Center to provide for their special needs.

Our focus is simple: to provide the best care we can for children today while creating opportunity for them to become independent tomorrow.

Please watch this video to see some of the children you are helping.

Thank you!

New Vehicle Just Purchased!
New Vehicle Just Purchased!

Dear Friends,

We are so excited to share with you a picture of the vehicle Mercy & Sharing was able to purchase because of your generosity!

This truck has the extended cab and payload bed we need to transport children and supplies AND the rugged design necessary to endure the difficult roadways in and around Port-au-Prince.  The vehicle will reside at Mercy & Sharing Village where we care for 120 orphans (half of whom are disabled) and have a school for 250 students.

Any NEW donations you make to this project will be used for maintenance and fuel for this vehicle.

I also want to encourage you to participate in our new project to install solar panels at Mercy & Sharing Village .  THESE DONATIONS WILL BE MATCHED BY A GENEROUS DONOR -- SO YOUR IMPACT IS DOUBLED!!

Thanks again for your compassion for children in Haiti.  Please know that your donations will have an immediate impact because this truck allows us to better care for the kids at Mercy & Sharing Village!

From the heart,

Henry Pierre

Dear Friends,

Thanks again for all you have done to help children in Haiti have medical transportation to receive vital treatment and surgeries.

I want you to meet Henry Pierre.  He is one of the orphans in the care of Mercy & Sharing full time.  Henry has cerebral palsy and needs constant attention, love and medical care.

If you wish to make further donations to help Henry and other children like him, your money will be used to cover miscellaneous expenses when we purchase the vehicle (government fees, fuel, licensing) and any unforeseen costs that arise.

Once we receive your gift from GlobalGiving, 100% of the money goes directly to helping disabled children in Haiti because our Board covers all U.S. based administrative expenses.  We leverage your dollars to help kids one at a time in a lasting, memorable way.

Thanks again for you generosity!

From the heart,

Louis Fawcett

Dear Friend,

Many thanks for helping Mercy & Sharing reach our goal of providing a vehicle to transport disabled kids in Haiti to receive the medical card they need.  You were an important part of the $16,000 raised!

I will be in touch in the coming months to let you know about the vehicle we purchase and the difference it is making.

Happy New Year and thanks for your generosity to help children in Haiti!
