by Mountains of hope childrens ministries

Hi,

I am happy to let you know that at last we were able to raise enough funds to cater for the purchase of solar led lamps to be provided to over 50 school going children in Kafumu community in Mpigi District, Uganda.

Your efforts were not in vain, they have yielded a big result, it was productive, we are very grateful. The project will purchse these lamps when children go back to school in February and have them given out as soon as possible.

We raised over $1045 on Globalgiving for the same which was wonderful.

"50 school going rural adolescent girls will benefit as they are the ones that do alot of work at home and not find enough time to complete their school assignments at home" said James aproject Leader

We will let you know when we distribute them and have picturees posted here for you to see the impact of your support.

Thank you very much for the continuous support to this project, with your support, we will be able to purchase solar led lamps for 100 children in Kafumu village, this village has not got any electricity and may take decades without since its very far away from the power grid.

Most of the children go to school but donot get time to read their books and complete homework at night due to lack of lighting, but with your support, this will be history.

"If I get a solar lamp, I will not be getting frequent coughs again" said Norah, a primary school pupil in Kafumu village, she uses kerosene light for completing her home work, kerosene emits carbondioxide which affects the lungs hence heavy cough, flue and cancer.

This project will transform the great village, many who can not afford daily parrafin will be able to get light daily, isnt it great?

Thank you once again
