Summary

This project will establish community resource hubs in Kibera, Nyakach, and Butula to enhance access to skills training, digital tools, and entrepreneurship support. The hubs will serve as safe, inclusive spaces for youth and community members to learn, connect, and grow. By addressing unemployment, information gaps, and limited local services, the project aims to empower residents, strengthen livelihoods, and foster sustainable community development.

Challenge

Kibera, Nyakach, and Butula suffer from a lack of community resource centers that can foster youth development. Without accessible spaces for skills training, mentorship, and entrepreneurship support, young people in these areas are left with limited opportunities for personal and professional growth. This gap hinders their potential to gain employable skills, start businesses, and ultimately improve their livelihoods, perpetuating cycles of poverty and underdevelopment.

Solution

This project will establish community resource centers in Kibera, Nyakach, and Butula, providing youth with access to skills training, digital resources, and mentorship. The centers will offer vocational courses, entrepreneurship support, and life skills development, empowering young people to build sustainable livelihoods. By creating spaces for education and networking, the project will equip youth with the tools to overcome unemployment and improve their socio-economic conditions.

Long-Term Impact

This project will have a lasting impact by creating sustainable community resource hubs that continue to serve as platforms for youth empowerment in Kibera, Nyakach, and Butula. Over time, these hubs will foster local entrepreneurship, reduce unemployment, and strengthen community resilience. By equipping youth with skills, resources, and mentorship, the project will contribute to long-term economic growth, poverty reduction, and the creation of empowered, self-sufficient communities.
