We want to assist the government by providing additional stationery, learning material and/or uniforms to children who'd otherwise not have any of these. The government spends $1,800 per annum on each child that attends a non fee government school. This amount is nonetheless not even to provide educational needs outside of the classroom. Our programme/project seeks to look for ways to assist the girl child were the government is over burden.
We acknowledge that government goes beyond its duty with educating the black child. The support is simply not enough. Many parents work long hours to merely put food on the table. Others are unemployed and cannot fend for themselves. Poverty has become so systematic that some begin to believe it's psychological. We cannot in good faith set back and allow this notion to be perpetuated any further. Education is thus an important tool to combat poverty.
We look to assist children particularly the impoverished black child with any means to assist her to dream big. We look to provide stationery, uniforms and guidance regarding their studies. A nation's wealth/health is determined by how it raises it's children Women need are the corner stone of any society. These girl children today will have to lead an entire generation tomorrow and we thus look to prepare them psychologically and academically so.
A child that gets an education today is more likely to make sensible life decisions in the future. We as such look to equip our daughters and future mothers of the nation and continent with academic powers so those who can see will have the tools to lead the blind. We are planning to equip a young children to be independent.
