Merry Christmas and happy new year 2020!

Exciting news from Kaami arts!

Kaami arts in partnership with s&s Kigali, a art house in Kigali, are going to start a project called IBABA (wings). This project will train young mothers who dropped out of school because of early pregnancy and can’t go back to school.

Training will be about art and craft where they can learn to use raw materials and used materials to make useful objects like rugs, decorative items, table clothes etc. so that they can sell and get profit.

While mother will be in training, Kaami arts will give session of theater, music, dance, painting and storytelling to their children.

We are looking forward to an exciting and adventurous new year!

Hello,

kaami arts is doing well and very excited to continue working with and for children, but still working hard to get funds to continue children's activities in the art.

kaami arts was happy to rent our space for a week to other artists, and the money were used to give sessions of storytelling to children in our neighborhood. Around 42 children came to our center in the past 2 months.

we are still looking forward to permanent activities at our center so that children can have a variety of activities and come regularly.

thank you for your usual support.

Hello,

We are very happy to share with you what is going on at Kaami arts. Drumming, storytelling where the main activities this past 3 months. We are very happy to be able to continue those activities for children as every day the number of children coming to Kaami arts is increasing. This is why we are rearranging our small space to welcome more children.

Kaami arts is also welcoming with other artists, NGOs, or companies in art, to share the space, to collaborate on projects and also to use our creative space by paying an affordable price so that we can continue running.

More exciting news are coming soon!

Thank you for your usual support!

First of all we are very sorry for the delais in sending report.

kaami arts have been onder some changes that affected our projects/programs, but we are still here and working for our cause.

for the art center project we started small with activities at our office and now we would like to make small campaigns that will help achieve our goals slowly.

some activities to start at our office verysoon are: storytelling, drumming and dancing, movie screening, theater performances.

we would like to have at least one event per week.

as i told you after the short break, kaami art is working hard to make this possible.

This past few months, Kaami arts worked on strategies to support the project. we are also trying to involve ,many people in this journey. Among our strategies we think it will be better to start small projects/activities at our small center/office to give an impression of the bigger center.

in involving more partners/stakeholders we approached american corner center to unite our efforts and theirs in entertaining and educating kids through book reading.

some of our activities at Kaami arts last months: traditional dance workshop, drumming, book reading.

We thank you for your usual cooperation and we are looking forward to get more support for this project in 2019.
