The poor division of resources in the country has led to disparities between Uganda's biggest population (86%) who live in rural areas and the developed (14%) who live in the towns and Kampala the capital city. Those who live in the villages are majorly unreached because they are left out on development. We purpose to build a competent secondary school to basically bridge the gaps of illiteracy, chronic poverty, unemployment and all their adverse effects. We target 3,000 of Magoggo community
Illiteracy and chronic poverty in the remote areas of Magoggo village and community. 90% of our villagers are illiterate and live in extreme poverty generations after generations. There is no single secondary school to complement the existing two government primary schools. . The young people are too many yet not attending school (74%). Eventually, they end up dropping out of school and face early pregnancies, marriages, drug abuse and all the effects of extreme poverty, illiteracy and more.
Through this secondary school, we shall be able to create a coalition for social change (make students responsible for the change of the direction which the community has been taking all years). This will be basically be done through our special model of : i.Educate-we are to competently provide the best education through sponsor-ships and subsidized fees for the community vulnerable children. ii.Mentor- Intentionally develop and equip our children with influential leadership skills. iii.Conne
The project will educate 3,000 rural secondary children every 6 years from the poorest and broken back grounds to change the negative trend which the community has been taking since its existence. This will bridge the wide gaps of underdevelopment between the villages and towns in Uganda. The young people will be equipped to become catalytic change agents to the transformation of our community and the rest of Uganda. Our approach of educate, mentor and connect will lead the communitytothe top
