Miirya, is one of the communities with poor population here in Masindi , it comprises of over 700 homes, were only 02% can afford to educate their children, notwithstanding the poverty level of this area, there is the scourge of HIV/AIDS which has left many children disadvantaged, living them at risk of death, many children have dropped out from school because of Long distance always walked(15) Km; this has made many young girls to opt for marriage at an early age and becoming child parents.
The project shall provide primary education to 1000 needy children, especially to orphans and vulnerable children from poor child headed families to access education, especially in early child-hood education, formal and informal information, life skills and peer education. The school will increase the retention and enrollment of children from poor families because it will be situated within the community.
In Uganda, Education is the back-born of every family, it takes years for a community to educate a child, but when the child is successfully educated, the community celebrates because there will be transformation. therefore,this project will help to create strong foundation for the young and poor children in this community, where children will be educated and employed in different fields living them earning which will help to look after their families and the community at large.
