This project will build a training centre to provide social entrepreneurship skills to 500 young women and seniors whose grandkids are affected by early and forced child marriages in wakiso district,Uganda
4 in 10 girls aged 10-16 years are given away into early marriage Uganda. Although the Ugandan government is trying to fight early marriage, these young girls end up as young inexperienced mothers, drop out of school and try to fend for their young families with little or no entrepreneurial experience. This project will affect more than 500 young women and seniors whose grand kids are affected by early marriage by providing a center to equip them with crucial entrepreneurial skills.
The Centreprise will act as a one stop center to provide social entrepreneurship soft and hard skills to young women and seniors. They will learn how to generate business ideas and start small self-sustaining businesses which in turn can help them raise funds to keep their children and grandkids in school and out of early marriages The young women and seniors will use the skills acquired to act as change brokers, sensitizing young girls against the danger of early marriage
The Centreprise will provide a training space to 500 young women and seniors to acquire enterprise skills that will increase their household income to keep their children in school and out of forced child marriage.
