The uninterrupted continuation of the program is tied to maintaining the hardware and providing prompt technical support. We actively maintain the existing CLCs with site visits, hardware repair, and technical support. Our greatest challenge is replacing unrepairable key hardware such as the computers in a CLC, large screen monitor, and solar panels in a SCR.
We ask donations to replace unrepairable hardware on 1/3 cost sharing basis. Replacement cost for one computer, one large screen monitor, and solar panels for one SCR, after 1/3 cost share are USD 300, USD 400, USD 500, respectively. If you donate the full cost-shared amount for a hardware, the donated equipment will be tagged identifying you as the donor. At the end of 2018, we need to replace 100 computers in the 263 existing CLCs, 10 large screen monitors and 10 solar panels in the 161 SCRs.
Our CLC graduates get a head start in technology and as a result are finding gainful employment. The SCR is making class room teaching and learning stress-free. Together, these two programs, promise a brighter future to millions of underprivileged youths through technology training and better education.
