As the school year draws to a close in Venezuela, we are excited to share the success of our "Coding for the Future" program, conducted in collaboration with our local partner.Through this initiative, we offered programming classes to students at two schools in low-income areas of Caracas. With your support, we successfully trained four groups of students: three at the basic level and one at the advanced level. In total, we reached 54 students across both courses, achieving an average attendance rate of over 80%.
In addition to the programming classes, we organized three professional development activities for the students in our program. These sessions covered crucial topics such as job placement strategies, creating effective CVs, understanding the profiles sought by major companies in the country, leveraging social networks for job hunting, and optimizing online profiles to enhance professional appearance.
Our program was able to sustain four teachers and engage 23 volunteers, ensuring that we provided quality instruction and support to help participants grasp all concepts effectively
What does all this mean? Thanks to your support, we have equipped these 54 students with valuable tools to become better professionals, secure employment, and improve their social and digital skills. The access to technology has had a wider impact, benefiting the entire school community. By equipping these two schools with computer labs, we have provided students and teachers with essential tools for technology and connectivity, further enhancing the educational environment and opportunities for all.
Thank you very much for making this possible!
