After being diagnosed with cancer every child in the Netherlands will receive a cord with our logo bead, beads with letters that form their name, the Hope bead with an anchor; the start of their Bravory Cord! After each treatment, research or event a special bead is handed out to the child. Children look forward to receiving the Bravery Beads and add them to their Bravery Cord. It will be a tangible reminder of the significant and intense difficult period. It tells their unique treatment story! For families where a child has died of cancer, the Bravery Cord is a valuable keepsake.
There are 46 different beads that can be given to the children. To name a few: chemotherapy bead, bone marrow transplant bead, hair loss bead, emergency admission bead, birthday bead, admission in isolation bead
All beads are free for children diagnosed with cancer. And to continue handing out the beads for free and to be a ray of light for the children during their treatment, we really need your support!
So support the Kanjerketting and help the children during this difficult period in their young lives.
