BPO - BUSINESS PROCESS OUTSOURCING TRAINING AT VIDYADHIRAJA SCHOOL, children from TATA NAGAR, a slum pocket of Mumbai will be able to work in call centres and enrich their personalities, financial status, continue academic learning and socially uplift themselves from the throngs of a community surrounded by violence and vices. Providing a BPO training to these students can make them skilled in communications, teamwork while strengthening their job-oriented IT and networking.
Sammidha is a student at Vidyadhiraja High School, situated in Tata Nagar, a slum pocket of North Mumbai. India, surrounded by the community of people who are at best contract workers. She will soon quit her studies and start working. This is what happens to most of the children of this community whose parents are hawkers, shop keepers, drivers, labourers, maids, janitors etc and the unemployed too. BPO Training will bring 20 children/year money and dignity and that is the aim of the project.
Vidyadhiraja school aims to provide free bpo training to their students of the higher secondary school and at a nominal rate to other youth in the community so that they can easily be placed for part time employment at the many call centres in the city. They will not only learn new skills in the area of networking and computers but also in character building and personality grooming . This will empower them financially and help them and their families to break the vicious cycle of poverty
The BPO project will break the impractical trend among students to pursue their university education after higher secondary classes. University education alone has not solved for a long time the employment crisis facing the youth in India who are first generation learners and from the slums. As they live in the outskirts of the city with deficient health and no security- their life in the slums are unsafe by all parameters. Self sufficiency and a dignified career is the aim of the BPO project
