A big "muchas gracias" to those of you who have donated to this project thus far. As we have recently received funding for technology based resources and some of that technology can be used in remote regions where there is neither electricity nor computers we are shifting our focus from the "bibliobus." We are looking to replace those horses with internet connectivity, computers and both on and offline education resources and also to increase our collaboration with local schools. Our first pilot project community will be Tatumbla, outside of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
As a result we will be closing out the bibliobus project. We encourage you to watch this space for a new project related to providing access to the vast amount of information available on the internet.
Project Reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you will get an e-mail when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports via e-mail without donating or by subscribing to this project's RSS feed.
Combined with other sources of funding, this project raised enough money to fund the outlined activities and is no longer accepting donations.
