To promote a cleaner and healthier school environment, ECCA supported the construction of an incinerator in Mahabharat Secondary School located in Letang Municipality–6, Morang District, eastern Nepal. The school serves 245 students from the surrounding community and has been actively working to improve sanitation and environmental practices within the school premises.
Before this support, the school faced challenges in managing waste properly, particularly non-biodegradable and sanitary waste generated within the school compound. The lack of a proper waste disposal system created difficulties in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a safe environment for students and teachers.
The newly constructed incinerator has helped the school manage waste in a more systematic and hygienic manner. It has contributed to improving sanitation within the school and raising awareness among students about proper waste management and environmental responsibility.
Mr. Bedraj, teacher of Mahabharat Secondary School, expressed his appreciation for the support, sharing that the incinerator has significantly helped to maintain cleanliness in the school and create a healthier learning environment for students.
Thank you for your continuous support in improving the learning environment for children.
