HALO provides more than just a roof over kids' heads. We ensure HALO youth have a chance to be kids and have fun memories and summers filled with experiences and learning opportunities. This past summer was no different. HALO staff and our community came together to give our Jefferson City youth a memorable summer.
The Jefferson City Boys Program focused on athletic development throughout the summer with weight training and basketball development. After months of practicing, our Jefferson City Boys Program participated in an AAU basketball tournament. The HALO Heat placed 2nd in the whole tournament which showed them that their hard work really paid off.
HALO Girls from our Jefferson City Girls Home made memories together as a family by volunteering at a local animal shelter, celebrating each other's birthdays, and taking a day trip to Columbia to enjoy nature and togetherness.
From field trips to big celebrations, HALO youth can learn valuable lessons as well as feel loved every time they walk through our HALO doors. Thank you for supporting HALO and making summers like this happen so that children in need can enjoy summers just like every other kid!
