A report on special activites

Dear All,

We are pleased to share a report on special acitivites conducted alongwith the regular activities.  The  details are as follows:

  1. A one day picnic to Alibaugh on 25th January 2017 was organized. All elderly people visited the Load Ganesh Temple at Dighi and the Loard Mahadev Temle Harihareshwar. They enjoyed the beaches.
  2. MakarSankranti Festival -MakarSankranthi, or Sankranti is a popular Indian festival. It is celebrated in many parts of the country with great zeal and enthusiasm. It is a harvest festival which is basically celebrated in the Hindu communities. In Indian, the states of Bihar, Bengal, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu celebrate the festival with great fervor and gusto. In Tamil Nadu the festival is known as Pongal, in Assam as BhogaliBihu, in Punjab, as Lohiri, in Gujarat and Rajasthan, as Uttararayan. On 3rdFebruary 2017 all our Sr. Citizens had celebrated “HaldiKumkum programme”.
  3. On the occasion of Savitribai Phule birth anniversary, Ms. Daiwashala Giri, Communication and Gender specialist (trainer) was invited as a resource person and she gave speech on "Love and Relationship". Some of our senior citizen also expressed their views and experience also.
  4. Mr. Vijay Deshmukh, a specialist in one act play was invited at the centre.  All seniors played one act on “Marriage Ceremony” and enjoyed  a lot.
  5. On the day of International women’s day, all  were well dressed and performed songs to celebrate the day.
