Dear Friends of Universal Promise:
Well, I continue to wish I had better news to report on our project to purchase a bank safe to secure the dozens of laptops we have in-hand and wish to deliver to our partner-schools in South Africa. Sadly, though, we are in the same position we were in when we completed our last report: $0 raised. While the safe is not an emotionally compelling project - one that pulls at heartstrings - it is imperative that we raise the money to protect the extensive hardware donation we wish to make to this school.
Safes make us feel more confident that the school will be able to protect the technology we provide. We all need these laptops to last a long time, and security measures permit that to happen.
We hope you will consider making a donation to this cause and be willing to spread the word. If the children in rural South Africa are to have a fighting chance, they must have their hands on this technology as soon as possible, and we would be grateful for your generosity.
