1) 5000 children (from 3 to 16 years) of government schools of Indore city will be trained on safe and unsafe touch. 2) two School teachers from 20 schools and 5 children from 20 school will be trained as master trainer to sustain the project. 3) School support staff will be trained to take care of children by child friendly practices. 4) 20 schools comprising 5000 children in Indore city of Madhya pradesh will be benefited.
According to the study done by Ministry of Women and child development department Government of India in 2007 that about 53% children means every second child got abused sexually in India. It has been observed that the children are in threat of sexual abuse as most of the families' members dont want to talk on sexual abuse due to various social taboos. Another challenge is that it mostly abuse performs by the people live very close to children. Children have very limited knowledge about abuse
5000 children from 20 Government schools are proposed for the project where sessions of Child sexual abuse will be organized. The target of the project would be covering about 5000 school children who will be trained on the issue of child sexual abuse. Five children from each school would be selected and additionally trained as master trainers. These children would replicate the knowledge in other schools and their friends.
Around 5000 Children in schools will get aware about child sexual abuse. They will work as a agents of change to safe children in their communities. They will be provided healthy environment where they can equipped, mentally, physically, intellectually and emotionally and play a meaningful and vital role and for their own holistic development. Children will be well aware about their rights. Child friendly practices in schools will be established.
