New Years Reflections on the People of Camp Amnicon

By Matthew Prois | Associate Director

Dear Friends of Amnicon,

Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers and support of the ministry of this camp and all who come to it, as campers, as staff, as visitors.

Camp Amnicon is people. So many individuals from incredibly diverse walks of life come together to connect with each other, creation, and deeper into themselves. Campers and retreat guests are cared for by wonderful staff. The staff is here due to the compassionate giving of all our donors. And it is all connected by the loving work of volunteers and our board members. The effort of hundreds of people contribute greatly to make each young person that experiences a summer trip feel that they truly are lovable and capable (many for the first time).

The New Year is proving to be full of joys and challenges. The summer calendar is filling up and we are on our way to meeting the goal of hosting over 40 wilderness trips this summer. More volunteers than ever have expressed a desire and a commitment to give of their time and talents. Excited college aged students are beginning the process of applying for positions as Guides and Support Staff, and generous people form across the world are coming together to show their financial support. The people of Amnicon, connecting in ways no one could have expected to provide life changing experiences for those most in need.

Because of your ongoing support, Amnicon continues to make new connections as well as supporting valued relationships with non-profits organizations, churches, and individuals. Many of members of the groups that come to Amnicon would not be able to afford their experience without the loving support and financial contributions of caring donors like you. Be assured your donation fosters profound differences in the lives of our individual campers as well as the larger communities where they will return.

Thank you again for your generous support!

In Christ,

Alana Butler & Simon Gretton
