The Winter/Spring 2025 session of the Ascent Digital Bootcamp took place at 2 locations in Memphis. There were soft skills for youth ages 14 – 15. There was a special podcast session for youth ages 18-26. Each participant in Tier 1 had a sponsor and mentor. There were personal assessments, team building exercises and panel discussions. They used software for storytelling, marketing, and business assessments. Local business owners and community leaders served as guest speakers and facilitators. Workshops provided opportunities to stay resilient and adaptable in any business climate. Participants were empowered to tackle personal and business obstacles, create strategies to navigate market shifts and uncertainties, and foster a growth mindset for continuous development.
The participants showcased their projects to the community at the Benjamin Hooks branch of the Memphis public library. Family, sponsors, community leaders, and vendors were on site to witness the great work from the participants. Participants received stipends for their attendance. Some received special recognition, mentorship opportunities, summer job opportunities, Chrome books, gaming gear, content creation equipment, and desktops.
Participation in the Ascent Digital Bootcamp was transforming for the youth. They turned intricate business challenges into achievable steps, employed innovative and systematic strategies to discover practical solutions, and made informed decisions with data-backed confidence.
